SPENCER – The Spencer softball team was held without a hit and lost a nonconference matchup to Cadott 24-0 on Friday at Spencer High School.
Cadott scored four times in the second and third innings before blowing it open with a 16-run fourth, ending the game via the 15-run rule.
Spencer (0-7) is scheduled to play Colby/Abbotsford in its Cloverbelt Conference East opener Monday, weather permitting.
