AUBURNDALE – Regynn Lau had an RBI single to cap off a three-run bottom of the fifth inning to push the Auburndale softball team to a 5-4 win over Edgar in a Marawood Conference South Division matchup Friday at Auburndale High School.
Mya Krings had a solo home run, Danika Blomberg delivered an RBI triple and Lau singled home to go-ahead run in the three-run rally for Auburndale in the fifth as it was able to salvage a split of the two-game series with Edgar this week.
Erin Griesbach also hit a solo home run for the Eagles, who are now 5-1 overall and 1-1 in the Marawood South.
Samantha Stanton earned the win with four strikeouts and no walks in a complete-game effort for Auburndale.
Morgan Streveler had two of Edgar’s four hits and two RBI. The Wildcats fall to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
Weather permitting, Auburndale will play at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Monday.
