MERRILL – Grace Taylor scored twice, and Presley Franklin had a goal and two assists to lead the Marshfield girls soccer team to a dominating 8-0 win over Merrill in a Wisconsin Valley Conference match Monday at Bluejay Stadium.
The Tigers scored four times in the opening 10 minutes and seven times in the first half as they cruised to the victory. Marshfield is now 4-3-1 overall and 2-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.
Avery Weister, Hadlee Hall, Lauren Holmolka and Hayden Berger added goals for Marshfield, which did not allow a shot on goal in the game by Merrill (0-5, 0-2 WVC).
Marshfield hosts Wausau West at 5 p.m. Thursday.
