COLBY – The Spencer boys track team won three relays and finished third in the team standings at the Colby Track & Field Invitational on Tuesday at Colby High School.
Wausau Newman Catholic won the boys team title with 103 points, with Bloomer second with 86 and Spencer third with 72.
The Spencer girls finished seventh with 18 points, with Colby taking the team title with 108 points.
The Spencer boys team of Levi Anderson, Elliott Bauer, Landon Behselich and Johnathon Jonas won the 800-meter relay in 1:37.89, the 400 team of Bauer, Behselich, Breckin Miller and Nicolas Johre won in 47.77 seconds, and the 1,600 team of Anderson, Behselich, Logan Elhlert and Jonas won in 3:57.13.
Kyle Nieman earned a pair of second-place finishes for the Rockets as he was runner-up in the 110 hurdles (16.86) and 300 hurdles (47.06).
Bauer also took second in the 100 (11.68), just ahead of Jonas, who was third in 11.70.
The Spencer girls top performance came from freshman Autumn Davis, who took second in the 400 in 1:08.49.
