TOMAH – Cale Zuiker scored 18 points and Ben Johnson added 17 points to lift the Marshfield boys basketball team to its third straight win, a 60-45 nonconference victory over Tomah on Monday night.
Marshfield opened up a 22-14 lead by halftime, then blew out the Timberwolves (4-10) in the third quarter, outscoring the home team 25-15.
Senior point guard Sully Luepke continued his solid season, adding nine points for Marshfield.
The Tigers return to action Friday with a Wisconsin Valley Conference game at Wisconsin Rapids. Marshfield holds a one-game lead over Wausau West and D.C. Everest for first place in the conference.
Marshfield is home next week for a pair of games – Monday against Merrill and Tuesday against Rhinelander.
