Marshfield softball loses to New Richmond, Hudson at Wisconsin Rapids Quad

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Marshfield softball team lost a pair of games at the Wisconsin Rapids Quadrangular on Saturday, falling to New Richmond 8-6 in nine innings and Hudson 9-4.

The Tigers have now lost nine-straight games and fall to 8-12 overall this season.

Against New Richmond, Marshfield pounded out 11 hits, three by Shylah Brogan. Katelyn Sternwies had two hits and two RBI, and went the distance on the mound with eight strikeouts.

Raina Manlick also had two RBI for Marshfield.

Hudson scored two runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings to pull away to win the second game of the day for Marshfield.

Madison Kraus had three hits, and Lili Anaya and Lydia Garvin each drove in two runs for Marshfield.

Marshfield hosts Chippewa Falls for a nonconference doubleheader on Monday at Madison Field, beginning at 4 p.m.
