MONTELLO – The Spencer softball team earned its first victory of the season, downing Montello 18-12 in a wild WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal on Thursday.
The Rockets (1-19) move on to a Division 4 regional semifinal at Stratford (14-9) on Tuesday. The game will be at Hilgemann Field beginning at 4:45 p.m.
