STRATFORD – The Stratford softball team scored eight runs in back-to-back innings and made quick work of Spencer, rolling to a 16-0 victory in just three innings in a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal Tuesday at Hilgemann Field.
Laney Pankratz threw a three-inning no-hitter with five strikeouts and no walks for the Tigers, who improve to 15-9 this season and move on to a regional final against Edgar (11-9) at Hilgemann Field on Thursday at 4:45 p.m. Edgar shut out Marathon 10-0 in its regional semifinal Tuesday.
Emma Roeper, Lexie Christopherson and Pankratz all had two hits and three RBI to pace the Stratford offense.
Spencer ends its season with a 1-20 record.
