PRAIRIE DU SAC – The Marshfield girls soccer team’s run through the postseason came to an end Thursday night with a 1-0 loss to No. 1 seed Sauk Prairie in a WIAA Division 2 sectional semifinal at Sauk Prairie High School.
The No. 2 seed Tigers, which posted a pair of shutouts to win the regional championship, finish their season with a 12-9-1 record.
Sauk Prairie (13-4-3) will play No. 3 seed River Falls (9-4-9) in the sectional championship game at 1 p.m. Saturday at Heiting Community Stadium in Marshfield. The winner qualifies for next week’s WIAA State Girls Soccer Tournament at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee.
