EAU CLAIRE – The Marshfield girls golf team earned a third-place finish at the 11-team Old Abe Invitational, hosted by Eau Claire Memorial, on Tuesday at Wild Ridge Golf Course.
Hudson won the team title with a 366, three shots ahead of River Falls. Marshfield was a close third with 371.
McKenzie Holm tied for ninth with an 89 to lead the Tigers. Brielle Lenz added a 91, Lili Anaya shot a 93, Shylah Brogan had a 98 and Lexxi Oertel had a 102 as well for Marshfield.
Sarah Chaffee of Chippewa Falls won meet medalist honors with an 81, one shot ahead of Karalyn Skinner of Altoona/Eau Claire Regis, Addy Seaholm of Chippewa Falls and Kaitlyn Bohl of Bloomer.
Marshfield will open its Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament series on Wednesday at Trapp River Golf Course in Wausau.
