STRATFORD – The Stratford football team dominated from the opening kickoff and shut out Manawa 42-0 in a Central Wisconsin Conference Large Division football game Friday night at Tiger Stadium.
Jett Schoenherr returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown, one of six in the first half for the Tigers (3-1, 2-0 CWC Large) as they rolled to victory.
Koehler Kilty ran for 144 yards and a touchdown. He also had an interception on defense and on Stratford’s first offensive play after that, took a screen pass from quarterback Jack Tubbs for a 30-yard touchdown.
Tubbs also threw TD passes to Gavin Leonhardt and Colton Breit, and ran one in from the 5 for Stratford.
Stratford will be back at home next Friday, Sept. 15, with another conference game against Shiocton.
