NEILLSVILLE – Rose Hasenhorl and Hope Schulte had top-10 finishes for the Auburndale girls as it took fourth place at the Neillsville/Granton Cross Country Invitational on Tuesday at Levis-Trow Mounds Park.
Hasenohrl finished seventh in 22:33.0 and Schulte was right behind in eighth in 22:36.4 as the Eagles finished with 84 points to end up fourth in the team standings behind Marathon, Bangor and Cadott.
Bangor’s Anna Fronk won the girls race in 18:37.3, five seconds ahead of Mondovi’s Courtney Stadter.
Bangor won the boys team title with 66 points, 20 better than Marathon. Auburndale was 10th with 224.
Landon Clark of Mondovi won the boys race in 17:27.5. James Binder had Auburndale’s top finish, taking 33rd in 20:17.9.
Auburndale will compete at the Smiley Invitational at Wausau East High School on Saturday.
