Stratford football shuts out Shiocton for third-straight win

STRATFORD – Stratford quarterback Jack Tubbs completed five passes, three for touchdowns, as the Tigers rolled to a 44-0 victory over Shiocton in a Central Wisconsin Conference Large Division football game Saturday afternoon at Tiger Stadium.

The win is the third in a row for Stratford and its second-straight shutout as it improves to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in the CWC Large. Shiocton falls to 1-4 and 1-2 in conference play.

Tubbs hit Jett Schoenherr for a 22-yard touchdown pass, and threw scoring strikes of 42 and 14 yards to Gavin Leonhardt.

Schoenherr added a 1-yard touchdown run and Matt Folz returned an interception for a touchdown as the Tigers built a 37-0 lead by halftime.

Koehler Kilty ran for 146 yards on 19 carries and capped the scoring for Stratford with a 4-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter.

Stratford plays at Nekoosa in another CWC Large matchup next Friday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m.
