GILMAN – The Spencer girls volleyball team evened its Cloverbelt Conference East Division record with a 3-1 win over Gilman on Tuesday night at Gilman High School.
The Rockets lost the first set 25-19 before responding with three-straight wins, 25-18, 25-17, 25-19, to win the Cloverbelt East match. Spencer is now 1-1 in the conference, while Gilman drops to 0-2.
Spencer had eight service aces in the match, three each by Hannah Reckner and Claudia Krause. Both also had nine kills to lead the Rockets.
Alisia Bocchino had team-highs with 26 assists and 14 digs, Reckner added 13 digs, and Alexa Stange had 12 digs for Spencer.
Spencer hosts Loyal on Thursday.
