MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Middle School girls tennis team won 14 matches to claim the title at a home quadrangular meet on Thursday.
Wisconsin Rapids Assumption won six matches, and Stevens Point Ben Franklin and Rhinelander each had five wins in the four-team meet.
Singles winners for Marshfield were: Avery Stichert, Gideon Jones, Isabelle Jennings, Evelyn Frederick and Shannon Davis.
Doubles teams earning match wins for the Tigers were: Evie Bennett and Stichert, Vanessa Hotley and Jennings, Frederick and Nileya Carrera, Allison Gingery and Katie Ridgway, Isabella Cui and Alayna Kober, Madison Grove and Ava Hoffman, Skylar Barnes and Davis, and Cielo Xolio-Temich and Sadie Karau.
Marshfield will play a triangular meet, along with Ben Franklin, at Antigo on Tuesday starting at 4:15 p.m.
