Columbus Catholic soccer shuts out Newman Catholic

WAUSAU – Alex Edwards scored all four goals for the Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team in a 4-0 shutout of Wausau Newman Catholic on Monday at Newman Catholic High School.

Edwards scored at the 32:21 mark to give the Dons a 1-0 lead and poured in three more goals in the second half to finish off the victory.

Lucas Kreklau saved all six shots he saw in goal for Columbus Catholic, which is now 16-3-2 overall and 11-0 in the Central Wisconsin Conference.

Cade Jansen, Mason Edwards and Charlie Moore all had assists for the Dons.

Columbus Catholic plays a nonconference game at Three Lakes on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
