THREE LAKES – Three Lakes/Phelps scored four unanswered goals in the final 19 minutes to overcome a three-goal deficit and defeat Marshfield Columbus Catholic 6-5 in a nonconference boys soccer game Tuesday at Three Lakes High School.
Alex Edwards had a season-high five goals for the Dons, four unassisted and the other off an assist from his brother Mason Edwards. Four of the goals were in the first half and the fifth came 8:15 into the second as Columbus Catholic took a 5-2 lead.
A penalty kick goal by Tobias Volkmann at the 61:02 mark kick-started the Bluejays’ attack. Volkmann added another goal and Charlie Liebscher scored twice in the final 6½ minutes to push Three Lakes/Phelps to the victory.
