Auburndale had five first-team selections, including two unanimous picks, on the 2023 All-Marawood Conference Football Team.
Senior offensive lineman Gregory Brummund and junior defensive back Blake Raab were unanimous first-team honorees for Auburndale, which finished 11-2 overall and in second place in the Marawood at 6-1.
Also earning first-team status for Auburndale were senior running back Evan Scholl, senior kicker Aden Chereny and senior inside linebacker Kaden Anderson.
Anderson led the team in tackles with 107, including 17 for loss, and Raab had 48 tackles and four interceptions for the Auburndale defense.
Scholl racked up 1,040 yards rushing and eight touchdowns, while also catching 15 balls for 199 yards and four scores. Cherney made two field goals and went 25-for-32 on extra point attempts.
Raab at wide receiver and senior offensive lineman Brett Thiel were second-team selections, while Cherney at wide receiver, Anderson at quarterback, junior outside linebacker Colton Weiler and senior defensive back Mason Meissner were among the honorable mention choices for Auburndale.
Raab led the team with 30 catches for 292 yards and six touchdowns, and Anderson ran for 1,000 yards and 17 touchdowns, and also threw for 1,103 yards and 15 TDs.
Edgar, which went undefeated at 7-0 in conference play and went on to win the WIAA Division 7 state title, had the Coach of the Year in Jerry Sinz, Back of the Year in Karter Butt, and Lineman of the Year in Harrison Graveen.
