Edgar won three matches by forfeit, providing the difference in a 42-34 Marawood Conference wrestling dual meet win over Auburndale on Tuesday.
The Wildcats, No. 3 in Division 3 in the Wisconsin Wrestling Online state rankings, also won four matches by pin. With the win, Edgar wraps up the regular season Marawood Conference title. The conference meet is Saturday at Athens.
Auburndale won two matches by forfeit and had two pins – Brady Guse in 2:38 at 135 pounds and Dave Altmann in 47 seconds at 285.
Cody Kundinger beat Jake Frane 6-3 at 125, Clint Moscinski beat Tyler Crawford 11-4 at 152 and Aaron Swenson won a major decision over Brandon Wirkus 14-5 at 160 for Auburndale’s other three wins.
