MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys swimming and diving team won four events and finished second at its home nonconference triangular on Tuesday at Marshfield High School.
The Eau Claire co-op won the other eight events and finished first in the team standings with 227 points, six more than Marshfield. The La Crosse co-op finished third with 70 points.
Simon Dagit wqas first in the 100-yard butterfly in 56.31 seconds, and Kevin Buth topped teammate Henry Hilbelink by 0.12 of a second to win the 50 freestyle in 24.20 seconds for Marshfield’s two individual swimming wins.
Dagit, Buth, Carson Klumb and Henry Hilbelink won the 200 freestyle relay for the Tigers, winning in 1:35.50.
Marshfield’s Alik Martin also picked up a win in the diving competition, finishing with a score of 250.10. Shaun Hunter was second with a score of 208.50 for the Tigers.
Marshfield will host a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual against Wausau East/West on Thursday starting at 5:30 p.m.
