RIB LAKE – The Auburndale girls basketball team blew open a tight game in the second half and defeated Rib Lake 49-35 in a Marawood Conference crossover game Monday at Rib Lake High School.
The Eagles led 22-19 at halftime before outscoring Rib Lake by 11 in the second half to pull away and stay undefeated in the Marawood South.
Auburndale is now 10-3 overall and remains perfect in the Marawood South at 7-0.
Kylie Anderson had 11 points, and Rose Hasenohrl and Myah Katzenberger each scored nine in the win for the Eagles.
Josie Scheithauer had a team-high 13 points for Rib Lake (5-9, 3-6 Marawood North).
Auburndale plays a Marawood South game at Stratford on Thursday.
