Stratford boys basketball uses long ball to take down Stanley-Boyd

STANLEY – The Stratford boys basketball team picked up it second nonconference road win in three days with a dominating 72-46 rout of Stanley-Boyd on Monday night at Stanley-Boyd High School.

The Tigers ran out to a 42-24 lead by halftime and continued their hot shooting to finish off the victory and improve to 10-3 this season.

Brady Schmidt went 6-for-8 from 3-pointer range and scored a team-high 18 points for Stratford, which was 14-for-23 overall on 3-pointers.

Reid Miller and Drew Bruesewitz each added 11 points in the win for the Tigers.

Stratford is back in action Friday with a Marawood Conference crossover game at Phillips. The game will start at 5:30 p.m., with the girls teams playing after at approximately 7:15 p.m.
