RIB LAKE – The Auburndale boys basketball team ran out to a double-digit lead by halftime and held off a second-half rally to down Rib Lake 66-57 in a Marawood Conference crossover game Thursday at Rib Lake High School.
Evan Scholl scored a team-high 18 points, and Kaden Anderson had a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds to pace Auburndale, which improves to 12-2 overall and 8-1 in the Marawood South as it responded to its first conference loss of the season with another victory.
Caden Weinfurter added 15 points for the Eagles.
Jackson Blomberg and Andrew Wudi both had 13 points to lead Rib Lake, the Marawood North leader, which falls to 10-3 overall and 5-3 in conference play.
Auburndale is back in action Tuesday at home against Wausau Newman Catholic.
