EAU CLAIRE – Simon Dagit won the 100-yard butterfly as the Marshfield boys swim team placed third at the Eau Claire North Husky Invitational on Saturday.
Dagit’s win in 54.87 seconds was Marshfield’s only event win.
Hudson won the team title with 410 points, with Eau Claire Memorial/North second with 309 and Marshfield third with 197. Hudson won nine of the 12 events.
Alik Martin placed second in the diving competition for the Tigers, finishing with 354.7 points, five behind Hudson’s Isaac McKenzie.
Dagit added a third-place finish in the 50 freestyle (22.99 seconds), Carson Klumb took fourth in the 100 freestyle (53.90) and Zach Kayhart took fifth in the 100 backstroke (1:02.41) as well for Marshfield.
Marshfield also had top-four finishes in all three relays. The 200 medley relay team of Kayhart, Joshua Peters, Dagit and Kevin Buth took third in 1:49.46, while the 400 freestyle relay and 200 freestyle relay teams placed fourth.
Marshfield will finish its Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet season at Wausau East on Thursday.
