MARSHFIELD – Marshfield won the final four matches by pin and defeated Merrill 49-32 in its final Wisconsin Valley Conference wrestling dual meet of the season Tuesday at Marshfield High School.
Dalton Hagen (150 pounds), Grayden Rode (157), Caleb Dennee (165) and Owen Griesbach (175) all won by pin in the final four matches as the Tigers turned a 32-25 deficit into a victory.
Mason Seidl (190) won by decision, Jon Sternweis added a pin a 120, Easton Ledden won by technical fall 17-2 at 132 and Carter Williquette had a forfeit win at 113 as well for Marshfield, which finishes the WVC dual season at 4-1.
The Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament is Saturday at Stevens Point.
