STRATFORD – Bonduel jumped out to a big lead by halftime and Stratford could not recover as it dropped a 42-32 decision in a nonconference girls basketball game Tuesday at Stratford High School.
Bonduel, ranked No. 5 in this week’s Wissports.net Division 4 state coaches poll, raced out to a 32-14 lead by halftime. Stratford outscored the Bears by eight in the second half, but it wasn’t enough as it drops to 10-10 this season.
Ashley Hollatz had eight points and Kayla Casperson added seven for the Tigers.
Hailey Zernicke led Bonduel (18-2) with 13 points.
Stratford hosts Chequamegon in a Marawood crossover game Friday as part of a boys-girls doubleheader. The boys game begins at 5:30 p.m., with the girls to follow at approximately 7:15 p.m.
